Where I'm at after five months in hospital

Early dawn light illuminates the curtain in my hospital room. On the wall towards the head of the bed there's a myriad of medical tubes and dials hanging unused.

Today marks exactly five months since I was admitted to hospital for a fractured left femur (thigh bone) and I find it remarkable how much I’ve adapted to life here during that time.
